Generations of Harding Rams.
One association, finally.
Harding University High School has shaped generations of alumni across Charlotte and far beyond — leaders, artists, educators, athletes, and neighbors. Yet for decades, there has been no sustained alumni association connecting those generations.
The Harding University High School Alumni Association exists to change that: to reconnect alumni, preserve Harding's history, support today's students and staff, and build something that lasts for the next generation.
02 — Our History
September 4, 1957
A date that changed Charlotte — and the nation.
On that morning, 15-year-old Dorothy Counts-Scoggins walked through the doors of Harding High School and became one of the first Black students to integrate Charlotte's public schools — enduring hostility with extraordinary courage that reverberated across the country.
Harding's place in American history was written that day. The new Harding University High School Alumni Association was intentionally established on September 4, 2026 with that history in mind, and is being built alongside alumni and school leadership to honor the past while investing in the future.
